Dallas Cowboys Coach Getting ‘Fed Up’ With Jerry Jones

Mike McCarthy has been the Dallas Cowboys head coach for the past four years and he’s about to enter the final season of his contract. The thing is, he’s not really seeing eye to eye with Jerry Jones and is allegedly fed up with the team owner.

Prior to joining the Cowboys in 2020, he was the head coach of the Green Bay Packers from 2006 to 2018, leading the team to a Super Bowl XLV victory in 2011. McCarthy has a career regular season record of 167-102-2 as an NFL head coach and is among the few to lead a single franchise to eight straight playoff appearances.

Before his head coaching roles, he served as an offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints. He also held various coaching positions with the Kansas City Chiefs and the University of Pittsburgh.

In 2023, the Cowboys had a 12-5 season, winning the NFC East division for the first time since 2021. However, they lost to the Packers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, despite having a strong offense and defense.

Jones is known for his hands-on approach, which led to the departure of former head coach Jimmy Johnson after the team’s Super Bowl win in 1993. While the Cowboys won another Super Bowl in 1995, the franchise has struggled to recapture its former glory since Johnson’s exit.

It remains to be seen how things will play out in Dallas or whether McCarthy can work to the best of his abilities with Jones overseeing him.
