Brown, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect from Waxahachie, Texas, announced his decommitment from the Trojans on May 9, re-opening his recruitment. His decision followed a series of official visits, including trips to Georgia, SMU, and Alabama. Notably, Brown had previously committed to USC on April 2, but the commitment was short-lived.

One of Brown’s close friends, four-star running back Javian Osborne, who committed to Notre Dame on May 3, is actively encouraging him to consider the Fighting Irish. Osborne, who had previously been committed to USC, has been vocal about his admiration for Notre Dame’s program and coaching staff. He has expressed a desire to play alongside Brown, highlighting the potential for a strong on-field connection.
