In a move that further solidifies his legendary status on and off the field, Archie Manning—one of the greatest figures in SEC history—has donated an extraordinary $12 million to the University of Mississippi. The gift, among the largest in school history, will go toward transforming the university’s library infrastructure and enhancing access to cutting-edge research and learning resources.
Manning, who starred as Ole Miss quarterback from 1968 to 1970 and has long been regarded as the “heart of the Rebels,” described the donation as a tribute to the institution that gave him so much.

Manning, who has remained actively involved in university life through philanthropy and mentorship, is a father of three—including NFL stars Peyton and Eli Manning—yet still finds time to return to Oxford for games and alumni events.
