In a moment that brought thunderous applause and even a few misty eyes, Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman stunned players and staff by gifting the Fighting Irish football team two brand-new custom buses on Wednesday. What began as a routine team meeting at the Guglielmino Athletics Complex quickly turned into something extraordinary.
As the players filed in, expecting a standard strategy session, Coach Freeman took the podium with a grin that hinted at something bigger. “You give your heart to this program every single day,” he said. “And I want you to know you’re seen, you’re appreciated. This is just one way of showing it.”
