NORMAN, Okla. — Former Oklahoma Sooners star and current Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has made a historic investment in the future of his alma mater by donating $12.2 million to establish the NIL Fund for Oklahoma Athletes. The contribution stands among the largest by an individual athlete in support of college athletics, setting a new precedent for alumni involvement in the NIL era.
Lamb’s donation will serve as the foundation for a robust NIL program designed to empower Oklahoma student-athletes across all sports. The fund aims to provide financial resources, branding education, and business development opportunities, allowing student-athletes to capitalize on their personal brands while maintaining their focus on academics and performance.
“This university shaped me as an athlete and as a man,” Lamb said in a statement. “Now it’s my turn to give back and help create opportunities for the next generation of Sooners. I want these athletes to have the tools, support, and freedom to thrive both on and off the field.”
The NIL Fund will be managed in collaboration with university officials and NIL compliance experts, ensuring transparency and adherence to NCAA guidelines.
